Geographic North

In a music landscape now much commanded by mp3 blogs and digital downloads, Geographic North points us to a more traditional way of hearing new music: by vinyl. Born from a desire to promote new music from their favorite bands, founders Farbod Kokabi and Farzad Moghaddam launched the 7-inch series, You Can’t Hide Your Love Forever this month featuring artists like A Sunny Day in Glasglow, Tussle and Au Revoir Simone. Haven’t heard these great bands? Soon you will. It’s Geographic North’s aim to uncover and reveal great, albeit lesser heard, bands for music enthusiasts.  As a subscriber, you can expect a multi-colored record each month by mail, wrapped with astute graphic design. Only 300 are produced. Amongst a frenzy of internet hyper-sharing, limited edition runs of physical media give music collectors something in return for their cash: a beautifully-crafted thing you can hold.
