Challenge:

Fusionbrands has a unique line of cooking utensils. The innovative line-up includes everything from vertical ice cube trays to wearable cooking tongs. Not only are the products more original than the average options, they are also of superior quality.

Armchair had to translate the personality of these kitchen supplies into a website that both established the brand in a overpopulated category and educated consumers on how to use the products. Additionally, this mass of information needed to be turned into an enjoyable online shopping experience that would get something as unfamiliar as a Poach Pod into kitchens everywhere.

Solution:

To Armchair, the Fusionbrand products were full of life, tongs were birds and poach pods were canoes. The connections prompted the concept for a site that captured these personalities.

Using large scale, high-quality videos as a stage for the utensils, the site brought to life each silicone persona. As the tools playfully acted out their functions to custom music, visitors found entertainment and information about the product line.

In addition to the site, Armchair developed a brand system for Fusionbrands, along with package design for the Ice Orb product.

Results:

The site brought the products to life and captured consumers’ imaginations in a way they’d never experienced with culinary tools. Site visitors came away with a definitive idea of the brand’s personality and the client was able to convey an original take on kitchen utensils in a playful and profitable way.
