Coke Cannes

Now that the Cannes Lions awards are all but a bubbly hangover, I want to congratulate our friends and Coca-Cola partners David Butler, Todd Brooks for winning the Brand Identity category. Their crusade to rid Coke of decades of graphical plaque – i.e. gradients and airbrushed bubbles – is refreshing. Other brands take note!

Comments:

No small task to create a modern identity system with so much baggage.

Looks great. Wonder if they will take it up. I can imagine the bottles would be more costly to produce though. But they’d become collectors items.
