Siggi Eggertsson: What are you wearing now?
Siggi:
Hello Armchair! Today is a beautiful day here in Akureyri, Iceland. The sun is shining, it’s 20°c outside, which may not sound much, but it’s huge on the Icelandic scale. I’m doing 4 things right now that I really like, 1) Sitting on my mum’s balcony, 2) Smoking fresh cigarettes, 3) Drinking even fresher orange juice and 4) Listening to a beautiful song my friend Johnny Sexual wrote about me. It’s about me always leaving him, which happens quite often, but I still think he loves me. You should listen to it, I’m sure it will make your day better.
I’ll Love You Till You Leave - Johnny Sexual

Concerning your question about outfits, there are not many answers. I’m wearing a baggy grey T-Shirt that was my payment for working for Karlssonwilker for 3 months, couple of years ago. It has 9 white squares with thick black strokes on them and they form some sort of a weapon. Inside one square “karlssonwilker inc” is written. I like to wear it when I feel lazy, but today I’m not so lazy, it was just my only clean shirt. I’m wearing skinny black jeans from Acne, one of my favorite labels, but they’re not so good in the sun. I have bare feet.
I barely can’t see what I have been writing, as the sun is shining directly on my screen, so I apologize for the typos and wish you a very great day.
About:
What you just read is the first edition of what will become a recurring feature on the Armchair blog, wherein we ask some of Armchair’s past and future most inspiring creative collaborators one question: What are you wearing now?
It’s our supposition that every choice in life is a design choice. Whether it’s the belt you pick out, or the shirt, the dressing up or down that you do, for utility or decoration, retro, future or a mix of all of the above - it might hold unique clues to you and your approach to work. Why does Peter Saville choose to present himself like this, or Milton Glaser, or Corita Kent?
We kicked off our first edition with a collaborator on Coke Side of Life, and now friend Siggi Eggertsson. In 2006, Print Magazine named him as one of the brightest design stars under 30. After a short but prolific stint in London, working for clients such as Gnarls Barkley, and Microsoft Zune, he’s returned to his roots and is continuing his world domination from rural Iceland.
