Peter Rentz: What are you wearing now?
Peter:
I wore jeans today because it was an appropriate temperature for them, approx 70 degrees F, far below what has been recently. The decision on the shirt was made because I am nostalgic for Los Angeles and I like rocking sports-related stuff in N. Brooklyn because it is SOOOO unhip. I only wear Uniqlo socks, so that decision was easy. Now the shoes are a tricky one. I have not wore these Nikes in years but I had this feeling this morning that I should put something on that I acquired in Atlanta. Thanks!
In summary:
Top: Nikys Sports tshirt, black, free from Los Angeles
Pants: Levis 501, washed once, bought in Los Angeles
Socks: Uniqlo, black dress socks, bought in NY
Shoes: Nike Internationalist, grey, bought in ATL, Walters Clothing
About:
It’s our supposition that every choice in life is a design choice. Whether it’s the belt you pick out, or the shirt, the dressing up or down that you do, for utility or decoration, retro, future or a mix of all of the above – it might hold unique clues to you and your approach to work.
What you just read is a recurring feature on the Armchair blog wherein we ask some of our most inspiring creative friends one question: What are you wearing now?

Comments:
Peter, I haven’t tried those socks, but am always open to a quality pair. Why are these good?
Nice shoes!
Those levis look great for one wash and I can’t wait to see them after five to seven. Socks=sex. I loves the sneaks and top. The only suggestion I can make is to go a little more “mormon” with the beard. The bear looks is super in right now, among both straight and gay men.
I like this section on the blog.
gabriel» cheap (10 bucks for 4) and lots of colors including 5-6 shades of grey, plus they never fall down. go uniqlo
witt» thanks
jessica» i only ever wash levis once (dry clean actually)
thanks Armchair
pete: i never found the dryclean thing to work. i always thought they just washed them in some back room and laughed, so I would just air dry my levis.
nice kicks – going to walters today – looking for white sambas classic.
peter: Wow. You popped up in a dream last night. How strange. Georgia Tech years. I am glad to see you are still up to the craziness. And the skateboard??? I have been living in South America for 15 years…..long story.
thanks Jessica. i would grow it out but i am at JFK so much that if my beard is too thick I inevitably getting hassled ;)
Louie, yea i think you are right. last time i sent a pair, they shrunk a ton.
