We recently saw stats for a digital campaign that make us more sure than ever of the power of web advertising.

Back in September we launched the Van Heusen Pro Football Hall of Fame 2011 Fan’s Choice site. During the week of Thanksgiving the site’s sponsors promoted it heavily on television and the web. After ads appeared on ESPN.com, more than 29,000 people visited Fan’s Choice, compared to an average of about 5,400 visitors following nationally televised commercials during football games on ESPN and CBS the same week.

It’s exciting to have hard evidence for something we’ve always felt intuitively: that web ads can be more effective than television.
