Armchair バンダナ

A symbol of Japanese utilitarianism, we fell in love with the Furoshiki and for our 2015 holiday gift, we made one. This simple square cloth dates back to the year 700 and offers a reusable way to bundle just about anything that fits—gifts, gadgets and coffee beans.

We filled the space of the cloth, edge-to-edge with the the word Furoshiki — and reversely the word Bandana in Japanese.

We used our Cinderblock typeface, and the Japanese characters are hand-drawn. The screen-printing is by Danger Press.

No clients or their animals have been harmed using the Furoshiki.
